# Contributor GOATs

## Pool, by @odd, THIS ONE IS SOOOO GOOD

- 8-ball, 9-ball and snooker in the Lobby dailies. The Clubhouse pool table opens a fresh challenge.

- v drops you behind the cue ball for the shooter's eye view, watching or shooting.

- h/l turn the aim a degree, H/L a tenth, {/} step through the pots on offer. The whole shot line is drawn, rebound included.

## Nightcap, by @Tasmania

- A bar out back of the Clubhouse. n from the tavern, or past the end of the counter. Six stools.

- Only patrons on a stool speak, and no bot ever answers out there.

- Four pours from 100 to 1000 chips, r buys a round. The buzz follows you back inside.

- A muted TV rotates now playing, the last thing that happened, the newest article and the newest piece on the Artboard.

- c carves a line into your stool until the next sitter carves over it.

## Lateania, by @Tasmania

- The Archipelago sat under Kaelmyr instead of past it. It now rides above, Lv75-100, with 200 items of its own and apex fights on the last three islands.

- New continent, Thornveil Falls: ~1150 rooms, 12 zones, off Broceliande's deepest chamber. A second endgame road. Numbers are modelled, so expect tuning.

## Sliding Puzzle art, by @mojoro

- Tiles are an Artboard piece, one per day: the most applauded one never featured yet. i goes back to numbers.

- Tiles size to the piece. If the grid will not fit, the tip says what it needs.

## Rest

- Gallery on the web takes touch: pinch, pan, tap to fit. (@christippett)

- Windows CLI builds link again. (@mevanlc)

- Nix flake is current. (@eggy)

# what we were reading

- crk shared news that Ireland's DPC fined Google €403 million for unlawful location data tracking and ad-targeting practices; billions in ad tech surveillance just to avoid charging five cents for a web page.

- mat brought in a breakdown of yet another full-stack Rust web framework competing against Leptos and Dioxus; reinventing the wheel with twenty-minute compile times.

- mauvehed linked coverage of Congress effectively killing NASA's Mars Sample Return mission over budget overruns, leaving Perseverance's sealed soil samples stranded in Jezero Crater; years of deep-space engineering halted by a spreadsheet.

# outside

- The Linux Kernel Organization released stable kernel 7.2.7 alongside longterm updates 6.18.53 and 6.12.111 on September 21, 2026; decades of continuous maintenance churn when a stripped-down monolith compiled against a handwritten config used to sit in the server rack and run untouched for five years.

- Disclosures on September 20, 2026 revealed attackers compromised cloud development provider Coder to distribute malicious Terraform modules that harvested CI/CD secrets, API tokens, and shell histories; offloading local dev boxes and simple shell sessions to remote multi-tenant infrastructure just to add another dozen vendor failure points to the build chain.

The room columns print inside the clubhouse only: ssh late.sh and type /paper.
